Ellie Goulding talks the meaning behind DIVERGENT’s “Beating Heart” with MTV!

Ellie Goulding talked with MTV about her song on the Divergent soundtrack “Beating Heart”. The video for Divergent’s “Beating Heart” will premiere tomorrow on MTV at 7:53pm ET along with Shailene Woodley(Tris) and Theo James(Four).

Ellie Goulding’s “Beating Heart” from ‘DIVERGENT’ soundtrack to Premiere tomorrow on BBC 1 Radio!

Ellie Goulding just announced on Facebook that her single “Beating Heart” from the Divergent soundtrack will be premiering tomorrow on BBC 1 radio.

The song will debut on Monday at 7pm GMT, 2pm ET, 1pm CT, and 11am PT.

After the song is debuted Entertainment Weekly will exclusively reveal the “Beating Heart” lyric video.

Yesterday Ellie Goulding announced her involvement with the Divergent soundtrack. She even revealed the Divergent soundtrack cover. Summit Entertainment has officially made their Divergent soundtrack announcement. The announcement also includes pre-order details.

January 23, 2014 — Santa Monica, CA — Interscope Records will partner with Summit Entertainment, a LIONSGATE® (NYSE: LGF) company, to release the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to the futuristic action-adventure film Divergent on March 11, 2014. The soundtrack will feature a brand-new song by multi-platinum British singer/ songwriter Ellie Goulding, titled “Beating Heart” as well as songs from Goulding’s sophomore album, Halcyon. Goulding will also contribute vocals for the film’s score composed by Grammy® nominated and multi-platinum electronic artist Junkie XL and executive produced by Grammy® and Oscar®-winning composer Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception). 

The film, which is based on the bestselling novel Divergent by Veronica Roth and hailed as the most highly anticipated movie of 2014 by social media research firm Fizziology, will be released in theaters and on IMAX® screens nationwide on March 21st.

“We started working on the film with songs from Ellie Goulding’s album Halcyon and soon found that the texture of her music and the tone of her voice matched perfectly with our film,” said director, Neil Burger. “In many ways Ellie has become the inner voice of our heroine Tris.”

In addition to “Beating Heart,” the soundtrack album will feature new music by multi-platinum, Grammy® nominated artist Zedd (the track “Find You,” featuring Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant) and more artists to be announced soon.

 North American fans can pre-order Divergent: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack exclusively at www.divergentsoundtrack.com starting Friday, January 24th. Pre-order bundle options include the soundtrack on 12″ picture disc vinyl, as well as a pre-order exclusive poster with the names of fans who order, plus more to be announced soon. 

Divergent is the first installment in the Divergent Trilogy, which were the top three (3) best-selling books of 2013 according to USA Today. The story is set within a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities, and Tris Prior, played by Shailene Woodley, is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group.  When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.

Divergent is directed by Neil Burger from a screenplay by Evan Daugherty and Vanessa Taylor, based on the novel by Veronica Roth.  The film stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ashley Judd, Jai Cortney, Ray Stevenson, Zoё Kravitz, Miles Teller, Tony Goldwyn, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, and Kate Winslet

Ellie Goulding Officially Announces Involvement in ‘DIVERGENT’ soundtrack!

Ellie Goulding just officially announced her involvement on the Divergent soundtrack.

Late last year Ellie had tweeted #Divergent and the director Neil Burger also said that Ellie would be involved with the Divergent soundtrack.

Ellie was a guest on Good Morning America this morning and she announced that she would be the voice of Tris.

Neil Burger Confirms that Ellie Goulding will do Music for DIVERGENT!

During an edit bay trip in Los Angeles with a few websites Neil Burger confirmed that Ellie Goulding will be doing some music for Divergent. Which means she will most likely be on the soundtrack.

When asked if the song “I’m Dead in the Water” is final or just temp music, Burger noted, “It’s not the final, but it is Ellie Goulding. She’s gonna do some music.”
